Who We Are

This is a blog for the To the Maximus Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

To the Maximus Foundation is committed to the education and awareness of the dangers of synthetic drugs and advocating for legislation to outlaw synthetic drugs.

We came together to achieve these aims to honor the life of Max Dobner. Max was an incredible young man who used his life to serve others. He wanted nothing in life more than for people to love one another with reckless abandon. He constantly reminded those around him that life was about taking time for family and loved ones, leaving the unimportant details for another day.

While there will always be a long list of details to attend to, you may not always have your loved ones. Max wrote, “Why don’t we just relax and enjoy life as it is, instead of always trying to add to what we have? Life is good, so treasure it. Do what makes you happy.”

We invite you to support the Foundation or join us as we educate kids and those who care about them, empower our legislators to make sound decisions about synthetic drugs, and inspire those around us to affect positive change in a way that honors Max’s dedication to life and to those around him.

Who We Are — 2 Comments

  1. I just got over a Spice addiction myself. I had to go to the hospital, I came very close to losing my life, my organs almost shut down. This was 4 moths ago and my recovery is still ongoing. I live in Colorado and there are a lot of people dying from Spice out here. My goal is to raise awareness. It’s great to see others doing the same. I’m so sorry for your loss, God bless you.

    • Thank you so much for writing. There are victims all over the country, much like Colorado. If only the media would follow the rest of the states the way they grabbed ahold of the issue in Colorado. Thanks for helping in our mission to raise awareness. Can you please fill out our survey about your experience? Please fill out our survey and be counted. It is so important! http://tothemaximusblog.org/?p=4585
